There are many things that affect your skin and can cause breakouts - from touching your face, to hormones, to your diet, to products that may irritate your skin, and even stress. I’ve read so many articles that go back and forth on the subject of stress-related breakouts, but I’m a firm believer that everything in your body is connected from stress to what you eat and it can show up in the form of blemishes depending on how your body reacts. For me, stress greatly affects my skin in the form of breakouts. I tend to get stressed very easily and have always seemed to be this way [it’s something I try to work on every day]. When I get stressed, I will often notice new breakouts on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. When my goal is to have a calm and clear complexion, these new and painful blemishes make me feel even more stressed. As a way to “deal” with my stress, I start picking at my skin, sometimes without even realizing I’m doing it. This creates a downward cycle of being, stressed - breaking out - picking at my face - and then feeling more stressed because my skin is now worse than before.

I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to not pick at my skin. Now that I have the Clay Mask, as soon as I feel a blemish starting to form, I spot treat it. This has helped my skin so much!
