Rest Well & Wake Up Refreshed

Getting adequate sleep each night is very important for your health and well being. When you don't get enough sleep you'll often feel sluggish, are more forgetful, and it can appear on your face in the form of stress breakouts and dark circles under your eyes. For a good night's sleep...

It's important to try to fall asleep around the same time each night. Try falling asleep on your back, it's a great position and puts the least amount of stress on your body.

Put away electronic devices about 1 hour before bed – the light from these devices makes it harder to fall and stay asleep.

Read a book or write in a journal to help clear your mind from the day.

Stretching before bed is very beneficial as you are relaxing your muscles and body and increasing your flexibility.

Take a shower or a hot bath before bed to unwind from the day. Always make sure your face is cleaned and free of any makeup, dirt, and excess oil before going to bed.

To start the morning off right...

Wake up early and let the natural light shine in your room - This will help your body adjust without turning on bright lights that hurt your eyes at first.

Drink a tall glass of lemon water first thing in the morning to stay hydrated and to kick start your digestion – This will also help you to feel more awake.

If you have time, stretch or go for a run or walk – you'll actually feel more energized throughout the day.

Say positive affirmations that will make you realize how grateful you are to start a new day.

Eat a healthy breakfast – eggs, oatmeal, or fresh smoothies make for a delicious and filling breakfast to give you the energy you need to face the day.
