“Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do”
Over the past month or so I’ve been seeing this quote all over the place, from shopping in stores, seeing it on Instagram, to having it pop in my head in the middle of the night.
I believe in the power of the universe, signs that speak to me, as well as through myself and if I sit still and listen, I know the answer I’m seeking will come to me. The quote “Dreams don’t work unless you do” has really resonated with me because well, full disclosure, I’ve got a lot of work to do.
I have big plans for DPR SKN, but the past few months have been very tough for me and my baby company has kind of taken a backseat. I’ll be the first to tell you that owning your own business isn’t as glamorous as it looks on social media. It can be very overwhelming and lonely. There is struggling with self-doubt and feeling the opposite of how I’ve envisioned DPR SKN to make people feel. That being said, my goal for DPR SKN is for people to use simple skin care and wellness products to help them feel more confident in their skin and embrace their natural beauty, stress less about their skin and focus on working hard to make their dreams come true.
I’ve got a lot of good things coming your way on the Journal and in future products. I want to take you along on the journey and share with you the reality of growing my baby business and working a full-time job in a totally unrelated industry.
Nothing says dreams don’t work unless you do like working from your home office, aka your dining room table, and working on your business sometimes at work when your boss isn’t around… it isn’t glamorous and picture perfect but that’s how it is for me and to be honest, I wouldn’t want it any other way right now! Plus it gives me the freedom and flexibility to make sure each order is packed and shipped with love and care!
Every month I’ve told myself this is gonna be the month, I’ll step out of my comfort zone and make DPR SKN into what I’ve dreamed it to be… it’s taken me long enough, but my dreams won’t come true unless I execute and put in the work. So here goes…
